Most of the computer students know how the computation is going on in internet. There is a server at remote location we can access data from that server. how much it takes to download the document or data? depending upon the net speed wheather it is broad band or cable net or dial up phone modem... if any one want to download file size of 1GB,how much time it takes to download? so much of time..... can we download a file with in a fraction of time span ??????? is it possible ........if possible how????? ---------------------> (1) we know how distibuted computation works.here the concept is " SHARING OF RESOURCES ". the resources are shared among the no.of computers at different locations.the work is also shared the work is performed.after completion of work every individual piece of work is assembled then task is completed.but here the resources also shared among all the members at different geographical locations. they cant access the resources parallely at the same time.one person at some x location anothe person at some y location if they want to access the same resource same time to do their work they cant access the resource.-------------------------------------->(2) but only through GRID COMPUTING these are possible.. but this is the current raising technology.this is not fully developed so far. imagine if anyone develop WORLD WIDE GRID(WWG) parallel to WORLD WIDE WEB(WWW) . we know power GRID.grid means hub. we dont know where the power is coming from, but if you put a plug in to socket and swith on the light the is on.if you open the tap the water comes automatically.so many no.of users swith on the power same time.but the capacity of power is decreased? no the capacity is same at all. but in internet so many systems are processed same time the capacity is decreased gradually..... in grid computing the capacity is not decreased the resources are available to all equally any no.of users are processed. how it possible......................?????????????????????? this is possible in Grid Computing through "VIRTUAL ORGANIZATONS".VO's are not really exist they act as mediators between the users and the resources through this we acheive our goal. but this is not practical so far....lots of research work is going on. most recently Grid computing is called peer to peer computing, internet computing. lets hope it will happen soon.
